Heuristic Evaluation
The overall assessment of the current state of OPUS was very low. It scored particularly poorly in the recognition over recall, error prevention, and efficiency of use areas.
Navigation
The navigation elements upon initial assessment were confusing. The taxonomy was unclear, the groupings of components and features were disorganized and illogical, and the ability for the user to navigate on a LEMerS scale was quite low.
aesthetics + minimalist design
The aesthetics were outdated and the designs were not current with best practices.

Several of the links were broken linking to the image below. There were no indicators for the user to know what went wrong or why the error occurred.
